Boycott Jimmy Carr

Actually, I always grabbed the remote when his smug face flashed on the screen.

Apparently, he made a "terrible error of judgement". The problem with Jimmy is that you can never tell when he is trying to be funny.

He cracked the funniest gag I have ever heard in my life.

Unfortunately I cannot repeat it here.

Alice - your boot has already been firmly put where it belongs on Jimmy's person. How about now giving him the charitable benefit of the doubt...?

Cameron wants to "roll out the carpet " for French tax serfs
Not too keen when Brits do the same . Don't suppose the Eton boys have ever had the benefit of a trust fund !

Steve B,

Point taken.

However, I have done a little introspection regarding my personal reaction to Jimmy Carr. My dislike runs a lot deeper than his tax scamming. There is something deeply distasteful and modern about his humor. I don't get it, and I don't like it.

Carr is relatively insignificant, and he pulled out of the scheme and apologised. Let's keep things in perspective.

How about a boycott Lord Ashcroft campaign, or Boycott Philip Green? Or that other major tax dodger Tony Blair? How about boycott Amazon UK who avoid £millions in taxes.

At least we get a laugh out of Jimmy (or I do anyway). When was the last time Philip Green made you laugh, except in disgust?

He was singled out by a PM who's friends and supports are liars, manipulators, tax dodgers, and criminals. Cameron is the one that deserves a boot up the arse. He hasn't apologised for anything.
