Just look at those oil consumption figures; Asia is growing rapidly while Europe is stagnating.

A slightly rough comparison . I have just built a new house . It will cost buttons to heat it and with LED lighting less to light it .German new build standards are fantastic. My car returns mileage figures I would have thought impossible ten years ago . Efficiently may have have something to do with the slowdown in demand.
