Yes, this is the 1,000th post of UK bubble.
The blog was started on Sunday, March 18 2007. The first post was entitled "UK Housing - the maddest market in the world". At the time, the post didn't receive a single hit, and no one has ever made a comment about it.
The blog has grown considerably since then. So far, it has received 224,219 hits. In recent weeks, it averages about 1,200 hits a day and about 8,000 visitors a month. Most posts get about 5-15 comments.
Still, a few more hits would be nice, and all comments are always eagerly read and most welcome.

Great blog, Alice, keep it up. I don't always find it comfortable reading, but it is always worth visiting.
You're going for quality of readership rather than quantity ... that's what drew me here after all.
Congratulations on your commentary and on your following.
Well done!
On a pedantic note, shouldn't that be 8,000 visitors a week?
Alice, well done: quality will out !
appreciation too, for your excellent design, the graphs make a fine set
Mark,
No, I should have said 8,000 unique visitors a month. There are a lot of repeat visitors.
Thanks for the kind words.

We love your blog. Keep up the good work.

Wonderful blog. Just as I think I'm not so cross or minding any more, I take a look and ......

I have often wondered what you have to write to be deleted.
Shouldn't it be "...by the owner." rather than by the author?
Mr. Pedant
Thanks for the comment.
I have very rarely deleted comments. Spam will get blitzed; as will anything rude, lewed, racist, or sexist. Beyond that, you can say what you like.
If it says deleted by author, it means the person who wrote the comment deleted it.

Congrats Alice. Thanks for your support as well! May there be many more.

Alice,
May you live to be one thousand.
I enjoy the blog. Keep up the good work.
Cheers,
MAB
Congratulations! You are well worth it and bring a voice of sanity in a crazy world. Keep it up: I wish you were the chancellor and not Brown/Darling.
Now pour yourself a glass of champagne!
Merry Christmas Alice,
A great blog.
Lots of love,
regular reader.
HI Alice,
Happy 1,000 post. Great job, so fascinating, great graphics, good traffic. What made you keep on going in the early years?

Alice,
I still appreciate you my dear.
Although I loathe your fans.
Good work. I'm a fan.
People called Simon are often found wanting in the trouser department.
Congratulations. I think I've been reading the blog since around October 2007
Squeak.
That's a great milestone to have reached. For the sake of the economy, I hope you can give up before you hit 2000!
I have been recommending you to my economically literate friends - they have said good things about your missives too. Sitting here in Australia, I'm wondering whether we are just a few months behind you on the curve......
Congratulations Alice.
What E-K said. I read daily, but rarely if ever comment. I also regularly recommend this site to anyone I think would be interested.
As the man said: Keep bashing your head against the wall - it's so nice when you stop!
Well done Alice, and thank you for the informative and consistent blogging. I've learned a great deal since first finding this site.

See what I mean...
Simon,
Can you read, man ?
The lady said, "All comments are welcome and eagerly read."
I also note that our Ladyship is quick when it comes to deleting crude remarks ... alas not so in this case.
Hate less, love more.
Peace be with you.
This is one of my must read everyday Blogs.
Keep up the good work Alice. I promise your readership is going to grow massively soon, you're doing something that few others can. The UK Bubble blog is truly unique.
Alice - Your millenium. Well done!! You forge a welcome new meaning for the term. Here's to your next!

Alice - well done. I read your musings every few days. I live in Sydney and when visiting London mid-year I was so shocked with the sentiment, I returned home with a - thankfully - bearish attitude. Which led me to your site. The charts are brilliant.
fine
I visit your blog every day and like it too much, concise and to the point.
"It will all come down. Not one stone shall stand upon another"
I've tried to understand your motto, but it still doesn't register. We always cherish what is left behind, and maybe specially because it has been left behind, like in ruins. Babylon goes down, life goes on.
Hi Alice
This comment is from Ernst, a German living in Mongolia. I stumbled upon your blog by chance through Rgemonitor. I am generally interested in economics and I enjoy your blog thoroughly. It´s a great one and most of all I wonder how you manage to compose these phantastic graphs. Anyhow you are a great lady.
