MPs have used numerous dubious strategems to evade a reckoning for their outrageous behaviour. Here we have Labour MP Shahid Malik using class rhetoric in a fruitless attempt to obscure his wanton misuse of allowances. With an unjustified sense of persecution, he informs us that he didn't build a Helipad, or repair his moat. All he did was buy a TV.
There was no mention of his undeclared subsidized rent on a second home. Or was it his first home? Can he even remember?
