Actually, I wanted to focus on the short term developments in the oil price, rather than look at the run up in prices last year, which I assumed everyone was knew about.
In the last week or so, I did post the long run dollar price of oil which clearly shows the speculative bubble, and the subsequent collapse.
More evidence of deflation.

You didn't plot the price from July 2008 to January 2009. Intellectual dishonesty?
Prices are still lower than 6 month ago, 12 months ago or 18 months ago...
