Kristie on the politics show

Hear Kristie Allsop tell us that the all housing problems are the fault of stamp duty and the government.

She also tells us that she is a "one trick pony", ruling herself out of a career in politics.

That is a relief. Imagine Kristie as the next housing minister.

I wonder what Kristie will be doing in a year's time.

She is just awful. I won't be watching this clip thank you very much.

She really is a witch, isn't she.

Dunking and burning would be too good for her... someone has already given her a lobotomy.

She is really posh in real life.

Krusty is changing careers. She was a property pusher. That game is almost over and she is trying a crossover into politics.

Last season of Location, location, location? No way Kirsty and Phil can survive the crash.

What does she mean prices "look like coming down". No Kirstie, prices are really coming down.

As for that honeymoon story, pleeeeeassssee.

What does she mean the "government is stealing people's deposits".

Why are first time buyers always considered to be the ones to help? Some of them are rich.

Kirstie is a tory.

I watched as far as "community led projects" and gave up. And then the bit about "I'd like to see prices going up more slowly". Bitch. But the Tories have yapped on about 'no Stamp Duty for FTBs' for years. Tossers.

And she's not as fit as Caroline Flint.

Isn't she awful, I presume her show is/was sickening..

Didn't Gordon once claim that increased stamp duty would reduce speculation?

Oh my, she has a future in politics. She manages to propose contradictory positions one after another with a straight face.

The girk obviously didn't take informal logic classes at university. Art history major, I'd guess.

Kirstie Mary Allsopp (31 August 1971) is a British TV presenter best known for the Channel 4 property programmes Location, Location, Location, Relocation, Relocation, Location Revisited and The Property Chain. All but the last were co-presented with Phil Spencer.

She is the daughter of Charles Henry Allsopp, 6th Baron Hindlip and former chairman of Christie's. She has a brother Henry, and two sisters, Sofie and Natasha.

She was educated at St Clotilde's School, Lechlade in Gloucestershire[1] and then Bedales School, near Petersfield, Hampshire. After spending time in India teaching English, Allsopp returned to the UK and began a series of positions, working for Country Living and Food & Homes Magazine and her mother's business, Hindlip & Prentice Interiors, and studying at Christie's. Allsopp founded Kirmir Property Search, and in 1996 founded (and joined) Garrington Homefinders.

Allsopp has a son by her partner, property salesman Ben Andersen. The child, born July 2006 at the St John & Elizabeth Hospital in north London was, at 11lb 11oz, the heaviest baby born there to date.[2] She was named 91st sexiest woman by FHM Magazine in 2008.[3]

Gee, don't we all hate Kristie

Nick makes a good point about her contradictory positions!

If the Tories want to be taken seriously, why don't they ask somebody who knows about land values, like Fred Harrison? Or Dave Wetzel? Or a myriad of bloggers including Praguetory, Jock Coats or even me.

Not the brightest analysis, Kirstie. Any graph of real house prices shows where things are going next - a real drop of huge dimensions, perhaps more than 50%, while the service economy contracts drastically as it has only grown to its present dimensions on dodgey credit. B.

Her background does scream Kirsty Dim But Ignorant. The posh thing is annoying, but she has chosen to ignore the facts. In the last series she was urging a potential buy-to-let investor to snap up a flat in the luxurious... Thamesmead; Estate Of Doom!
'Phil' The posh Bruiser advised people to buy in a truly godawful part of Manchester (the clients went on to make a clever investment in a better area on their own) and in recent Tonight show, still hadn't grapsed about the property crisis. Are they both members of The Flat Earth Society as well? Why are they invited on to news shows as guests? How come Kirsty doesn't fall over more, from the effort of walking and talking at the same time?
