The uproar about QE is deafening from where I’ve been standing for the last few years.<br /><br />Same goes for your recent post entitled, “Government debt - a story too big for the nation's front pages.”<br /><br />Anyway, re the subject of the above post: will there be a sudden loss of confidence in the British government’s ability or intention to repay debt. Well not if you look at the yields on long term government debt. And it’s the same in the US.
