Sir Alan Sugar in the Cabinet? Brown can't be serious

From today's FT:

Sir Alan Sugar, the entrepreneur and television star, on Thursday emerged from 10 Downing St, fuelling speculation that he may be given a new government role in a forthcoming reshuffle.

Sir Alan emerged from a side entrance to Number 10 before being driven off in his trademark Rolls Royce. Asked whether he had been offered a government job, Sir Alan told the FT: “It’s none of your business.”

There has been widespread speculation that Mr Brown needs a “star name” to grab attention for his reshuffle, which is expected within days as Labour braces itself for disastrous local and European election results.

Why not invite Jonathan Ross and Simon Cowell?

The ship is sinking, there are no lifeboats and we are all doomed.
