New home construction permits are at their lowest level in decades. In April, permit approvals, which are a leading indicator of constuction activity, were about 75 percent down from the peak during the bubble.Sorry folks, there is no recovery here.

There have been at least six recoveries since the slide began.
presumably there wont be a "recovery" on this measure as they have some many vacant properties. similar to Ireland?
