Exactly my thoughts. I remember when I did a course to teach English I met this bloke who was on the course in order to head off to Poland.
His reason, pure and simple get laid with hot Polish birds. I have often wondered if the reason why Poles have integrated so well into the UK, particularly in London, is because the women tend to dress in a more provocative style with makeup dyed hair. Basically way better than what we are used to.
Sorry Alice.

isn't it supposed to be the other way around? more men per 100 women?

Sadly it's quantity and not quality.

What's going on in Ireland? This can't be a normal distribution curve - is it oestrogen in the water or something? How very peculiar.

I know that this is a Eurostat source, but adding China to this list would really put things into perspective:

"In 2005 , they found, births of boys in China exceeded births of girls by more than 1.1 million. There were 120 boys born for every 100 girls."

I believe naturally more boys are born than girls, but the position swaps over time as men die young (accidents, suicide, crime, war etc). So could the figures be the result of aging societies? Certainly in the UK I reckon the extra women are in the upper age ranges, rather than amongst 20 and 30 somethings.

Ah yes. Now if you happen to be a Chinese woman there is a very good chance that you will get stolen.

Also illustrates the malign effect of totalitarian ideology.

Any bets China will be more warlike and fractious rather than less as a result.

In the case of the baltic states, I suspect work migration plays a big part. Most of the jobs that are avalible over there are in the public sector, which is dominated by women, especially in health care. Construction jobs, on the other hand are private sector and male dominated, and hard to come by in the baltics.

I don't know what you think is significant.

More women than men in Europe? More lesbians in Eastern Europe? More fashionable to be a widow than a widower? Why are all the ones that aren't paired up so unbelievably unattractive (or well hidden)?
