I am looking out for signs of the impending UK recession. The most recent production data offers little indication that the UK economy is about to slow. Recent data shows a marginal uptick in activity.
However, production industries, which includes manufacturing, electricity and mining, have long been in a quasi-recession. Today's index is at the same level as back in January 2003.

No growth since 2003. It is amazing when you think about it.
UK manufacturing was dead and buried long ago. You are the only sad fool that ever mentions it. Perhaps you worked in factory and miss it.
